In an attempt to liven up clean up efforts, BP announced today an attempt to turn lemons into lemonade by taking a modern approach to the old oil & vinegar salad dressing. BP’s “Seawater & Oil” dressing assists not only removing elements of the spill from the gulf, but also figures to take some of the market from the charitable Newman’s Dressing series by donating 10% of the profits to the clean up process. BP executive Zorba Sittenfield says, “The condiment helps on a number of fronts. The consumer gets a light yet delicious addition to any salad with the accompanying knowledge that they are helping the environment. It’s a win-win for everyone.” Described by one eater as “bile in a bowl,” the dressing is a sure winner for any luncheon party this summer season.
